it is mostly a matter of opinion, about 50-50. Likely to not go wrong with either one.

We own two Stihl WeedEaters.
One we have had for at least 15 years other other is 3 years old. They both work well. Never had Husqvarna. But Stihl has been such a good brand that we've never had to buy a new weed eater or even consider looking into a different brand, the 15 year old one still runs perfectly.

I like Husqvarna machines. However, in my neck of the woods Stihl is easier to get serviced. Stihl seems to be more expensive though. Unless you're a landscaper and you'll be using the thing every day, you really don't need an industrial weed wacker. They're generally not big ticket items for the regular homeowner.
