  • What is this program that has been installed on my system?

I was recently browsing through my programs cleaning up and getting rid of things I don't use and discovered a program I had never seen before that is called "Victimizm Version 1.1.00000"

I do not remember downloading, installing or even using it, but for some reason it was installed fairly recently 10/23/2020 to be exact. I also cannot find any information regarding it on Google or Yahoo, which is odd. My system was attacked by a Trojan a month ago, but Microsoft Security caught it and removed it without issue.

My computer is also fairly old, bought it in 2012 and it runs Windows 7 Ultimate, if that is any significance, I am also aware that Windows 7 has been discontinued by Microsoft, but I don't really care. Security seems fine, at least for now.

But this program just piqued my interest and I was wondering if anyone else has any information about it.

  • Why is there still Chinese spam?

It's been a month and Yahoo has yet to even attempt a fix.

Until this problem is fixed I am leaving Yahoo Answer, not that anyone will care, but out of principle. This site will no doubt die with this much insanity. Not that it isn't already dead with all the stupid spammed troll questions, not just Chinese spam.

I know reporting all of it will do nothing, because I've already tried. Every time I saw a Chinese question I reported it, and that stopped those questions, but there are too many fake accounts asking these questions to actually fight it off as I am only one person.

Perhaps if 10 or 20 people just went a reporting spree then maybe it will fix it? I don't know...

  • How can a regain access to my yahoo account?

I recently had a phone number changed and I did not set up a recovery E-mail and nothing in the Yahoo help site helps it continues to refer me to the same thing "Use your recovery phone number" which I do not have, the phone no longer has the same number since I changed services. And even if it did, this phone cannot receive texts due to the location of where live, it's very mountainous and cell towers are scarce.

I really don't feel like talking over the phone to anyone and would rather keep guessing the password until I get it, if that be the case.

  • Question about nerve damage?

A couple months back I was bitten by a cat on my middle finger, it went deep and severed the nerve which caused numbness for about 2 months.

Currently, I have recovered all sensations, but I have noticed a certain sensitivity to cold that I haven't experienced before.

When I was my hands with cold water or handle cold things I experience an electrical shock sensation in the area where sensation was lost.

Is this due to the new nerve endings being more sensitive?

  • Do you like what yahoo answers has become?

From trolls answers to troll questions and spam, as well as too many politically oriented questions that are unimportant.

What good does it do to be active on this site? what point is there to actually be on here answering these questions when they are irrelevant, unimportant and do not help anyone?

This site used to be about helping others, but now its all about making people mad and asking stupid questions and giving useless answers.

What will become of Yahoo Answers if this continues?

  • Poll: Do you like Super Mario Sunshine? Why or why not?

I've noticed quite a bit of hate toward the game, and while I was playing it recently I do see it had some faults to it, but it was overall a fun experience.

What did you like and what didn't you like about it?

  • How do you grow Poison Ivy?

First off I must say that I am not trolling, I am genuinely interested in growing this plant.

I understand what risks I am taking by trying to grow this invasive and dangerous plant, but I have taken quite an interest in it.

Obviously severe rashes are a risk, the plant, roots and stem are filled with the rash causing oils which means any mistake or improper handling wouldn't bode well for me as I am allergic to it.

You may think I am crazy and truth be told I probably am, this plant has caused me torment for many years as a kid.

My reason for growing this plant are because it is actually quite beautiful, from it's Green and Purple leaves to the hairy vine it's quite intriguing.

What is the best way to get it started? I have identified at least 10 poison ivy vines around my home and have noticed several instances of seed like pods growing from the 3 leaves; could I harvest these seeds and plant them? Or could I just take part of the plant put it into the dirt and it grow that way?

I do know the vine is very hardy and can handle many different weather conditions so it shouldn't be too hard to get it started.

Just so you know, I will be growing this in a pot, I have no interests in spreading this plant around for malicious intent. The suffering this plant can bring to people is something I don't want anyone to experience.

  • Is Yahoo Answers broken or something?

Not joking, when I went to check to see my yahoo answers points and questions, it was as if I had never even used it, it wanted me to click "Get Started" again as if I have never answered any questions or asked any, but when I clicked it now it shows as it always had, all my points and questions still there.

Is this really what Yahoo is reduced to? It makes no sense that they can't even manage their site better than this. They should really be ashamed of this.

  • Can wearing glasses when you do not need them damage your eyes?

I have been told all my life never to put on glasses because it causes damage to your eyes. And to be honest I've always been skeptical of this because I have wore glasses, I have 2020 vision so I do not need them, but never experienced any discomfort other than the fact that while wearing the glasses they distorts my vision makes things look bigger or blurry.

Does wearing glasses when you do not need them damage your eyes?

  • Why do I hate the daylight?

I am a Night Owl I prefer it to be dark and quiet and am awake throughout the night up until 6:00 AM, when I hear the birds chirping and see the sun begin to peer through my window I get a very depressed feeling.

I can go outside and do all sorts of things during the day there are more options during the day, but nothing really feels all that special or interesting compared to the things I do during the night. During the night I feel more relaxed less on edge. I feel like the person I am supposed to be. It's relaxing.

As far as I know I do not have depression or any other mental health problem.

  • Black ink in printer is skipping lines?

I have a fairly old HP Deskjet 1000 (J110) 2010 and my problem is that the black ink is skipping lines I have tried dissolving the possible dried ink in the jets with water and more recently alcohol to no avail. There is also the problem of the printer printing in light blue rather than black when both ink cartridges are inserted at the same time. The colored ink works absolutely fine and prints as expected it's only the black ink that has problems, it's faded and skips lines. The alcohol cleared up the faded image, but the lines skipping has not ceased. I've tried it on two different computers and the problem seems to be with the printer or the black ink cartridge.

Is there a solution to this or should I just get a new printer?

  • How long can a VCR (VHS Player) last?

Hi, I recently found my old Childhood VHS Player, it is a VWM-900 Sanyo I have played multiple tapes in it recently and I was just curious as to how long one of these machines can continue to work?

I haven't used or cleaned it since we packed it into storage in mid 2009, I've owned it since 2004/2005 it still plays tapes perfectly fine I was just curious as to how long they can play tapes?

And also, if I were to keep it well maintained and cleaned it regularly could extend it's life indefinitely? I do know VHS tapes cannot last forever, the tapes degrades each time they are watched, but I'm going to just ignore that fact since there is nothing I can do to stop it.

  • How long can a computer continue to work?

I have a Laptop from the late 90s it is a Toshiba Satellite Pro 4200 Series it was previously used as an office computer. My dad had received it from my uncle who was the previous owner in 2004/2005 I assume my uncle used it for work for at least 6 years. It was running windows 2000 when we got it, but we later downgraded to Windows 98se due to comparability and to prevent slow downs.

The computer is now considered out dated as you would expect and it has been drained of it's practical usefulness. However my question stems deeper than the computer being just something to work on and my curiosity is how long can this computer continue to work and play games and operate as it should?

The computer is about 20 years old it came out when Windows 98 and Windows ME was popular which is what the computer was designed to work with.

The computer is considerably much more reliable compared to modern computers I've used which tend to last until their hard drive fails.

This computer on the other hand is by comparison a much more reliable system in and of the fact that it is the only computer I have owned that hasn't yet died.

My question is how long can this computer continue to function as it was intended?

Note: I don't care about modern functions since I I don't want to use this computer for that, it just isn't capable, I use it simply to play old games I had and DOS games.

Currently, the computer I'm writing this on and the computer I work with is a Windows 8.1 Dell Inspiron 15.

  • My dog keeps trying to eat Toad Frogs?

What can I do to stop him? It makes him very ill, he pukes foam and appears to feel terrible every time he does.

This is the second time he has been sick from eating those things and I'm completely powerless to keep him from eating them.

It doesn't help that the dog doesn't learn from his mistakes, he has even ate wasps that land on flowers, his mouth swells from that, but still tries to eat them not learning from his mistakes.

I was bitten by a spider what can I expect?

The spider in particular was a Woodlouse Spider, I couldn't find much information regarding their bites. Which is why I am asking this question.

The area it bit me on (The fatty area below my thumb) is itchy and red resembling a mosquito bite, (the redness is more pronounced though) I ran scalding hot water on it for as long as I could stand so about 15 seconds it has since just been red.

I know this is the spider that bit me because I saw it in the floor running away and I promptly killed it after the fact. I assume it hitched a ride on my clothes when I went outside.

What are the effects I can expect from this spider bite? And what can I do to reduce the itchiness?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Did I do the right thing?

I have 2 dogs outside that are really curious and ready to attack anything that comes into the yard, 2 days ago the smaller of my two dogs found a copperhead snake that had made it under my back porch the dog was barking unrelenting and the snake was striking at him, when I got out there with my flash light and I tried to get my dog away from the snake so I could draw its attention to me so I could kill it, but he wouldn't so the only thing I knew to do was to throw my flashlight at the dog it hit him pretty hard, but it did get him to leave the snake alone long enough for me to kill it.

I knew that if he were to have gotten bitten he would have died that same night, we live about 15 miles from the highway and the closest 24 hour vet was 4 hours away which would be impossible to make with the dog still alive. The venom would have already spread too much to save him.

Did I do the right thing by hitting him like that? I just did whatever I could to make sure he stayed alive even if that meant hitting him like that, but I feel bad since I have lost some of his trust.

He is a 13 pound Yorkie-poo with a sweet, energetic personality.

This isn't a joke question, I am serious about this.
