Why is there still Chinese spam?
It's been a month and Yahoo has yet to even attempt a fix.
Until this problem is fixed I am leaving Yahoo Answer, not that anyone will care, but out of principle. This site will no doubt die with this much insanity. Not that it isn't already dead with all the stupid spammed troll questions, not just Chinese spam.
I know reporting all of it will do nothing, because I've already tried. Every time I saw a Chinese question I reported it, and that stopped those questions, but there are too many fake accounts asking these questions to actually fight it off as I am only one person.
Perhaps if 10 or 20 people just went a reporting spree then maybe it will fix it? I don't know...

If they fixed it , they could've easily tower over Quora for their exposure.
They just don't know what their strength are

Assuming you can read Chinese, how do you know people aren't posting regular questions in Chinese? I would assume people are trying to post questions under "Travel > Asia Pacific > China" or under "Travel > Asia Pacific > Taiwan" IF they aren't spamming. There are Chinese divisions of Yahoo! Hope this helps.

The serious spam attack didn't begin until last weekend. Prior to that, there were intermittent attacks of fewer posts and they didn't happen as frequently. LOTS of people have been reporting those posts, but it seems few, if any are dropping. The bots can post faster than the users here can get the posts reported and removed, and the bot accounts just multiply so it's like trying to empty an ocean with a bucket.
Why is it still happening? Nobody here knows why nothing has been done to stop it. We don't know if attempts have been made or not, since none of us knows what goes on behind the scenes. If someone affiliated with Yahoo decides to share that info with us, they will. Otherwise, the posts will just stop (which is what I expect will eventually happen). Hopefully they get it cleared up sooner, rather than later.
Venting about the site and saying you are leaving, changes nothing. If you feel compelled to leave, then do so. Plenty of people are choosing to stay. Yahoo announced the closure of Yahoo Messenger, so if the intent was to close Answers, they'd have let us know. Since they haven't, it's safe to assume closing the site isn't their current intention (also, their Fb page became active this past week, after being dormant since March of 2017, so that would be another sign they have some interest in keeping YA alive).
