    In my opinion, the internet has both increased and decreased the access to information and therefore education. More factual information is available but more misinformation and propaganda is also available. If someone has a good basic education then that person is more likely to be able to know the difference. So educated people get even more educated and non educated people are more likely to drift off into misinformation. As always it all boils down to a quality education being very important to ones future (i.e. an education in the real world outside of the internet). The better one's basic education the better one can resist the misinformation and superstition and the better one can make use of the incredible tool that is the internet.

    One way is 'Yahoo Answers', a website where people actually expect to get decent answers.

    But tbh I believe it's the opposite, more Americans and people around the world are connected to information because of the internet.
