What story books/Novels should I read in order to enhance my cognitive abilities/the sharpness of my acumen?

Cognitive ability is the ability to "get the message" from what you are seeing, hearing, reading, etc. To understand.

Acumen: noun

the ability to make good judgments and quick decisions, typically in a particular domain.

Cognative ability: You are crossing an intersection. You see the Red hand on the sign blink. You hear a horn honk. You see a car speeding toward your position. You see how far you are from the sidewalk.

Acumen: Understanding the above data to mean that the car will hit you if you stand in its way and that the light is warning "Get across. the street while you still have time.", you judge the distance between you and the sidewalk and decide to walk quickly to the sidewalk, or turn and walk quickly back to the sidewalk you left, or walk quickly to the median and get on it or within the lines.
