Democrats..please tell me the course of action Trump could take that would appease you, short of ignoring our border and the law completely.?

Do not prosecute families caught crossing the border illegally. Cite them for the misdemeanor they are actually guilty for and let them go. On their side of the border. There is no room for punishment in this situation. That is why you conservatives have this wrong. They are not criminals acting in their own self interest. They are struggling to survive in a world that is increasingly hostile towards them. They come to America because we are the nation that cares about human rights like no other nation does. You buttheads are trying to change that, apparently

I think the media should be jailed. Here are a few facts on that...Very, very sad. Staged, but sad. Only 2 in 12 kids actually have what appears to be parents. 10 in 12 are accompanied by young males. Kids have been either kidnapped or sold outright. That's why there's a detention center. Title 8 of the US Code, chapter 12, number 1158, makes it LEGAL for an alien to enter the USA for the purpose of seeking asylum "whether or not at a designated port of arrival". Paragraph B says they have one year AFTER entry to file the request for asylum.

There used to be a problem when asylum seekers arrive from a so-called "safe third country" -- per 1158(a)(2)(A) -- but since Trump is declaring war on Mexico (and every other country except Russia and North Korea), Mexico may be viewed as no longer being a safe third country.

The other exception being invoked by Benito Trumpolini is that of "being a criminal", which can be used to deny the request for asylum (after the request has been made) -- 1158(b)(2)(A) --. But the "fact" that Trump makes up lies about ALL aliens being criminals, would not survive very long in a court of law.

Trump has to stop applying his version of the Republican Value of Justice: if your skin is the wrong color of if your wallet is not thick enough, you will be immediately declared guilty and will remain guilty even if declared not guilty by a court of law.

Step out of the Dark Ages and forget the expensive brick and mortar dinosaur of a wall that Trump proposes. We are no longer in the 18th century and our protection is not hiding under the bed and our future in energy is not coal.

What we need is a "Smart Wall" to solve our 21st century border problems. A Smart Wall would use sensor, radar and surveillance technologies to detect and track incursions across our border so we can deploy efficiently our most important resource, the men and women of Border Patrol, to perform the most difficult task — interdiction. Most of this process can be done with computer vision, artificial intelligence and machine-learning, allowing our Border Patrol agents to focus exclusively on stopping individuals and contraband from crossing our border illegally.

Based on this administration’s budget, each mile of physical border wall would cost $24.5 million. According to leading technology entrepreneurs, utilizing off-the-shelf technology to build a Smart Wall would bring the cost-per-mile down to less than $500,000. With proven tracking technology and state-of-the-art drones, we could have a more secure border at a fraction of the cost — and it could be fully operational within a year.

Don't try to spin the horrific leadership trump is constantly embarrassing the country with by reaching for the dems. Yours is the party of rejection so it doesn't matter what solution the left suggests. To you, it only means the amount of possible solutions is reduced by one.
