Why can't illegal immigrants bring their children with them?

The unfortunate situation you are reacting to isn't about deportation. When an adult is caught trying to enter the US illegally, they are charged with a federal crime/felony and send to an adult prison to await trial. This is just a normal US prison. It is not a place where children can be sent. As a result, the children are sent to ICE facilities. If the parents were not charged and just held at a detention center, the children could remain with them. The law, which has been law for 20 years, states that these adults are to be charged, the Trump administration decided to follow the letter of the law.

When adults are deported, they are allowed to take their minor children with them.

The only thing that prevents illegals from taking their illegal children with them when they are deported is that they are monsters, not proper parents.

You see what the media tells you, a politically motivated media who is ONLY interested in getting a political point across......... illegals crying because they have committed a crime and been caught and will face criminal charges, not 'because their family is separated' in the US children who have been illegally brought by their criminal parent the US 'forgives' as they say they are not responsible for their parents illegal and criminal actions, so the adults faces criminal charges/detention, prison, deportation, the child doesn't you can't detain a child along with the adult in a detention center/prison........ the ONLY people at fault in all this is the criminals who couldn't careless about the law or their children or they wouldn't break the law
