Would a power steering fluid flush solve this problem, or is it too late?
The steering wheel will occasionally shift about an inch or so while driving. Started a few days ago and I've drove ~60 miles since it started. Could a flush solve the problem? I have already tried adding berryman stop-leak and it slowed but didn't stop it. 90% sure the leak is coming from the unit itself, although could be at one of the hoses next to the pump, it is difficult to access on my vehicle (2000 maxima).

Time for a new pump. Or replace the leaking hose, if it is a hose. Could just be a hose clamp got knocked loose.

While it is possible that air bubbles "might" cause the problem, the problem might also be caused by loose steering components (such as ball joints, tie rod ends, steering arm, idler arm, etc).

This is often air bubbles getting sucked into the pump on the suction return hose connections.
Try tightening the suction hose connections at the pump and steering rack, follow the leaks.
Manufacturers often use very crappy C rings that will leak, in that case get some screw clamps.

Replace the pump.
