I'm not Christian but I should note that in order for mankind to choose good over evil, the choice has to exist. Thus, G-d had to create the evil inclination to begin with.

I think evil is given a human analogy, because God created all things, look at the colors of a rainbow, one color rest upon another according to their color spectrum frequency, and I think Good and Evil are similar on some level...... I honestly believe God creates only Good and I think evil is the result of the misuse of freewill by the ego of the human minds that wills itself to be separate from God by fearing God..... God says he didn't create fear... so therefore he isn't the source of evil, we are, because our minds create it.

That Scripture says nothing about God creating evil. God can not do bad, everything God does is done out of love and with righteousness.
