What happens if I just recently traded a car and they got into a wreck with the car under my insurance ?

    if you have a bill of sale or its not in your name it wont matter .. if you still have the title and its in your name that could be an issue and the other party could come after you ..

    If you did a private trade you're screwed. You're supposed to make them sign the title and date it when you sell your vehicle.

    It would not affect you since you don't own the vehicle.

    What happens if you keep asking the same question over and over again? If you have the paperwork to prove you are no longer the owner of the car, then your insurance no longer covers the car and you are in the clear. Your insurance only covers vehicles you own.
