You are right, that term is a bunch of garbage. Sure there may be some situations where it may be seen to exist, but in the grand scheme, we all have to work hard, be responsible for ourselves, and earn our own way.

It sounds like your job sucks. Anyway that's not what white privilege means. Have you ever been pulled over and given a warning by a traffic cop instead of citation? That's white privilege. Do people follow you around in stores to make sure you don't steal anything? If not, that's white privilege.
