I've been a Christian for over two decades and have never heard of this before now. Maybe some do, but it's certainly not typical.

There is no evolution debate. That would be like debating water. The guy who says it isn't real is all wet just the same. To have a debate, there has to be a credible counter position, and "magic dunnit" is far from a credible position.
