Why can't Christians fulfill their obligation to justify their faith as outlined in 1 Peter 3:15?

15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

Answers are legion and - I expect - any DEVOUT Christian would be able to give at least one quite easily.

Note that your interpretation is flawed. The passage does not require that Christians be able to JUSTIFY their FAITH. It only requires that Christians have SOME explanation for their HOPE.

One of the simplest and readiest answers is: "Because Jesus has died for my sins."

Every Christian I know already does this. I believe in a higher power because I believe there is more to life than meets the eye and I've had many experiences in life that lead me to believe so.

How do you know? You don't know what is in their hearts. And you don't know if they're ready to answer with meekness and fear.

When people ask me questions about my faith, I give an answer and provide reasons why I am a Christian. So I do the best to put 1 Peter 3:15 into practice in my life.

1 Peter admonishes people to give a reason for the hope within them, not justify their faith. People ask very difficult questions regarding profound mysteries. Not receiving a satisfactory answer should not lead you to reject the God who is. It seems to me if you resolve the issue of the resurrection event, the other issues are diminished.---->14 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. (1 Corinthians 15:14)

    Revelations 6: 66:

To question the lord thy god or his servants is to mean death most eternal and infernal, question not the word of the servant if the lord, for he can not lie, in Christs name, amen"

My answer is that I was trying other things to make myself happy and I failed. I was a slave to things I wanted to stop doing. I kept doing the same things over and over again. I hurt people who were close, watched them cry right in front of me. I didn't see any hope within myself.

I started taking Jesus Christ more seriously. I grew up in the church, but I needed to claim him as my personal savior instead of just sitting in the pews on Sunday marking time. Once I did that, things changed.

I take my place as a servant of God.

I bow to Jesus Christ alone.
