Why is my car shaking when braking?

Whenever I brake from 40+mph smoothly, but sharply, my car gets pretty shakey. It began 2 months ago, but I didn't drive it for 4 month prior.

New tires (3000mi)

New brakes (1000mi)

New rotors (1000mi)

Oil change (1000mi)

Transmission Fluid (not replaced for 18k + previous owner, didn't have info) levels still good

What else could I look into?

Most probably the rotors are warped or rusted. At least with warped or rusted rotors, you know the brakes are releasing when you remove your foot from the pedal, otherwise, there is nothing to release disc brakes when you remove your foot from the pedal.

When a vehicle sits for that length of time rust builds up on the rotors. The rotors may have warped if you put cheap after market rotors and cheap hard brake pads on the car.

Warped rotors. Caused from braking "sharply".
