How can Jesus be God when he is described as being the firstborn of “all” creation?

Hebrews 1:1,2 - "Long ago God spoke to our forefathers by means of the prophets on many occasions and in many ways. Now at the end of these days he has spoken to us by means of a Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the systems of things."

In this scripture it shows us clearly that God spoke to people BY the prophets of old. You agree, right?

Ok, so then it goes on to say that God has also spoken to us BY means of a Son. Do you believe that God is the prophets that he spoke to people BY? So, why would God then be Jesus who he also spoke to people BY? This is showing that God spoke to us BY means of the Prophets And BY means of a Son (Jesus). A separation. As we continue in verse 2 we see that God also appointed Jesus heir over all things and Jesus is the one THROUGH whom God made the worlds. Not all have Bibles have THROUGH and BY in the same place but it's there for us to understand that yes, ...

Jesus is Not GOD and there are over 250 places just in the New Testament that state this!

It is the KJB onlys and the Catholics that believe as you ask. The Catholic religion has never even taught the Second Commandment, ask and they skip to the third. All from the KJB only religions claim "If we do not know what it means, then we do not have to obey it."! Thinking they may getaway with their laziness and disobeying of the Bible. Right God was never born but Jesus was.

You seem very confused.Jesus always addressed God as father and neither was described as the firstborn of anything.Are you catholic?That could explain your confusion.

This passage, vv. 15,16 serve several purposes. "image..." found here and in 2 Co. 4:4. Heb. 1:3 expresses Christ as the "radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being"[NIV] This expresses 2 truths: 1. God is invisible, John 1:18. 2. Jesus, the Son of God, the God-man both reflects and reveals Him, John 1:18,John 14:9. "firstborn …" had rights in Biblical times so Christ has certain rights over all creation - priority, preeminence, sovereignty, vv. 16-18.

ALSO vv.15-20 Might be an early Christian hymn, used here to counteract false teaching in Colosse. It is in 2 parts: Christ's supremacy in creation and supremacy in redemption.
