Buying plants through the mail ?

I want a certain type bush and the only place I can find it is online Nurseries. I have had bad experiences before using them . Anyone have a favorite ? (planning for Spring) Midwest (Zone 5) area.

I have not had success buying perennials online. Except for iris rhizomes purchased for late-summer planting.

But I have bought bare-rose bushes for spring planting and had great success with those. Understand that these bushes (no soil) are dormant, and well-packed so they don't dry out.

I don't know about shrubs. I would be tempted to get on my phone to find the nearest nursery I could go to in person, even it if was a 3-4 hour drive one way. If I really wanted that shrub.
