Can I replace my dogs Dasuquin with Doggie Dallies?

We just took him to the vet, 8 month Pomeranian. He has knee problems, both back legs. Vet gave us Dasuquin, but its rather expensive compared to the Doggie Dallies on Amazon. I know the active ingredients are roughly 1/3 the Dasuquin, but seeing all the other Hip/Joint products, most are at the lower end of active ingredients so it seems Dasuquin is overkill.

Looking for help, not assuming im right. Please and thanks.

my vet also put my aged arthritic Dobie on dasuquin and it was expensive. The teh said it made her old dog act like a puppy again. Heck it's only money. I tried it thinking it was a veterinary money making gimmick. I was wrong. This stuff works and worth the price.

I trust my Veterinarian for decisions like this, not strangers on the Internet.

    What does the Vet say?

Take the print outs for both products to a Pharmacist - my husband is a Pharmacist, took special training/ed in order to be able to fill prescriptions for animals.
