How to turn black hair into honey brown?
I have pretty dark (black) hair and regular hair dyes do nothing for me. I can’t bleach my hair because it will get damage beyond repair. If I use a bright blonde hair dye, do you think it will show up honey brown? For reference, regular light brown hair dyes gives my hair a barely visible red hue. The color really doesn’t stay on my hair. Will going extremely light give me the brown I want?

● "How to turn black hair into honey brown?"
Why worry?
I gather that you are at about the 14 or 15 years old "anxiety" stage.
Instead of worrying about being 'only' 5ft 1" tall, enjoy that many men enjoy that "cute" size:

As a baby, my wife kept losing her hair and growing it in a new colour! I forget the order - something like redhead > blonde > brunette. I would have been happy for her to dye it chestnut red, but never mind....

I've no idea. My 2nd or 3rd girlfriend could have told you - she was a 5ft 1¾" (and she insisted that nobody ever forget the ¾" !) hairdresser.
An asset of having black hair is that you do NOT have blue or green eyes - you can therefore see scenery and enjoy yourself in light MUCH stronger than the light-eyed light-haired (light-headed?) lasses can even endure.

You're right it will get damaged beyond repair if u bleach it but you would have to. Your hair is black of course regular hair dyes don't work lighter colors don't show up as well on dark hair so u would have to get it bleached and dyed or stick to your natural color. You either do that and compromise your hairs health or you leave it natural and keep it healthy you can't have it both ways.

No. It will have to be stripped, which you just said you didn't want to do.
