History shows that many priests and members of this false religion have no moral and ethics.

The no sex rule repels sexually healthy people and the power attracts power hungry people.

For the same reasons the men committing MOST of the abuse -- husbands/live-ins -- do.

This is a story I've told a number of times, but I'm willing to tell it again.

Most of you are familiar with Vatican II, the program started in the 70s to make the church cooler and more approachable. As part of that program, they encouraged priests to join at a younger age. The result was they had a bunch of young man taking vows of chastity when they weren't ready to. These were the priests who mostly ended up molesting kids, because it has been proven clinically that when you deny your sexual urges, without being prepared for the consequences, they will come out sideways, and usually, you'll hurt someone.

Not letting the clergy marry might have something to do with it.

I am not sure who opts for a life of celibacy these days, but certainly child molesters have pretended to in the past.

Because they aren't allowed to get married, and they come from cultures where being gay is a problem.
