Should I get Skyrim?
"WHAT YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED SKYRIM"?
Well, I assumed the question thoroughly explained that. Anyway, I'm all for exploration and it's going to be my first real RPG if the answer is yes. Plus I've seen many clips of it and read about the races (and let me just say, the Argonians are effing awesome). I know it has tons of inventory/upgrading system stuff to do which makes it cooler for me...

Skyrim is an excellent game even after all these years. Considering its age, it has held up very well both graphically and for gameplay as well.
I would recommend it if you like the mediaeval fantasy type of RPG.
And Khajiits are awesome too.

It sounds like you know enough about Skyrim, so why not give it a try before deciding, if you get it through steam, they have a money back system if you played less than 2 hours and bought it less then 2 weeks ago

Hello! You can’t go wrong buying Skyrim! I think it’s one of the best online games of the moment. I used to play it for hours after I first purchased it. The game has a lot to offer in terms of gameplay and the graphics are amazing. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did. :)

Skyrim is great, the Elder Scrolls games were intimidatingly huge to me when they first came out, I mean come on, you can pick up every spoon off the table...but now RPGs are about all I play. Witcher series is great but I am playing through Dragon Age Inquisition for the third time. Man is that one great. When I play a game like that my DVR gets full because tv shows can t hold a candle.

There's a reason it's considered so highly, and if you play the PC version there are dozens and dozens of mods you can get for it.
It's really cheap now, so there's really no reason NOT to get it.

If you wanted freedom in your RPG, then yeah, get Skyrim.
But if you wanted a more immersive one, get either Witcher 3 or Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
