How do I know when I’m over analyzing a situation?

I know that I can be a little too observant for my own good, which often results in me getting my feelings hurt. How do I know if I’m looking “too deep” into something (and how to stop it), or if how I feel about a situation/person is valid?

I used to think that over analyzing things was bad. In reality, most under analyze everything.

    Probably.

And if you just tried to analyze that then you know.
