Was just wondering if anyone knew about the effects of secondhand smoke?

I’ve noticed the past few times I’ve been over to my in-laws the night of when we are home and heading to bed that I feel like I have a sorta sore/itchy throat. I always think I’m getting sick but for maybe 2 or 3 days I just have that symptom. Btw they smoke very heavily! I was just wondering if that was common when being around smoke?

Yes, very common with second hand smoke. You need to stay outside or pop out for fresh air a lot more often. It's their home, they can do as they wish in it, yes, but it's also rude of them to smoke like chimneys with company over, so step out as often as you can next time you go over.

It's never affected me. I was at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. Some of my school friends were smoking during the two minute silence and during the hymn singing, I was standing next to them and they were blowing their smoke straight across me. I never had any effects afterwards.
