Should I ask why she's avoiding me?

There's this girl who seemed to like me. She flirted, asked me questions, gave me intense eye contact, laughed at my jokes etc.

Even though I was interested in her I wasnt very good at reciprocating or keeping the conversations going. So I mightve hurt her feelings.

At one point she gave me her number. I texted her but she didnt respond until I saw her in person.

I wanted to know what was up, so about 6 weeks later I ask her out but she said she couldnt because she had to be somewhere.

I assume its time to move on, but about a month later I see her again and she seems noticably excited to see me and greets me with a peck on the cheek. I was a little stiff at that time and my answers were short because I didnt want to get fooled again but thinking about that moment did make me want to give it another try afterwards

The holidays rolled around and I didnt see her for 4 months.

Now school has started again and she seems to be avoiding me and not starting any conversations anymore.

It's hard to tell weither she's getting creeped out by me trying to talk to her or weither she's just afraid of getting hurt again.
