Do Neopets still die if you don't log in enough?

they don't die but there is a hunger system and if you don't feed them it goes down until their hunger is "dying". it doesn't matter except they'll probably be looking sad. you can always put the neopet in a hotel for a month for cheap so you don't need to worry about feeding them
