You've made your decision, and it's false.
Blame ENGLISH, not God.
Let's look, even though you're CLOSED minded?

You have a little kid? You love this tyke. He INSISTS on running right into the nearby corner where cars careen out of control. He is able to climb the fence, shrieks with excitement?
God uses punishment to prevent disaster.
Talking does not work.
Removing privileges brings on his rage.

Bad translation choice. As Christian Sinner said, the Hebrew word, "Ra" can be translated in different ways. "Disaster" is NOT necessarily evil when it is sent as judgment upon sin by a Righteous God.

A perfect and just God would *not* do evil things. Therefore it is easily discerned that Yahweh-Jehovah is neither spiritually perfect *nor* just. *Lots* of human beings are considerably more spiritually advanced and genuinely *good* people than is the evil Jehovah. It is *foolish* to expect perfection and justice from an entity who is a *liar* and a *murderer*.

Yes He is the absolute powerful God. The Christian God. He gives power to whom He desires to and takes it away if He wants.

Sometimes it helps to check a lexicon, because sometimes the option for a Hebrew word change what it shows in English, there are many meanings to the Hebrew word for evil.
Jeremiah 42:9-10
9 He said to them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, to whom you sent me to present your petition, says: 10 ‘If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I have relented concerning the disaster I have inflicted on you.
It means God isn't going to continue a harmful thing if they stay quietly in their country.
The Hebrew word for Evil is pronounced "Ra", which means many things. That is why I told you the options of the translators are sometimes many.
