Who are the cosmic powers over this present darkness, the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, and what istheir objective?

Ephesians 6:12 (ESV) reads: "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

The evil forces in the heavenly places are Satan and his demon hords.Their objective is to turn all from serving the true God, Jehovah.

Jehovah is the God that Jesus worships, the God that Paul, the writer of Ephesians, and the early Christians worshipped.

Satan has set up a counterfeil system of religion that misleads the majority of mankind. Satan does not care what religion you use to worship. He makes people think that God is pleased with what they do.

But, Jesus said this is not true.

Jesus stated: Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23 ESV)

Jesus said one had to do the will of God to be acceptable to him.

The will of God is that people come to an accurate knowledge of the truth.

(1 Timothy 2:3, 4)

The "truth" is not popular. It opposes Satan, the father of the lie.

Jesus warned his followers that they would be hated. (John 17:14)

and can't remember either, our memory of before was removed, for the test, and will be returned when the test is over....

Whoever it is that owns the land and property I live on. They call the shots. I just enslave myself totally to pay their rent. And it seems that whatever they say goes. As if I have no say at all in any of it. As long as I pay the rent I can stay on it. Where else can I go if not a more expensive place? I would say the owners of this world are the powers, potentates and authorities managing it all. We can but only think of ways to coordinate with that reality.

The present darkness is a temporary result of the rotation of earth around its own axis. Other people call it 'night'.

Spiritual forces and heavenly places exist only in fantasy, so you'd have to give more detail on which story you are talking about.

Probably this involves the "wiles of the devil". Whatever it may mean, "the whole armor of God" when "put on" is "able to stand against the wiles of the devil". It goes to the ultimate victory of the faithful.
