I am keeping these fish in one tank and want to know if my ratio of male to female is a good ratio for breeding?

I have a 30 gal tank with a heater, bubble wall and plenty of hiding spots. Is there a good chance I’ll get baby fish with these fish all in the same tank?

3 female guppies/1 male guppy

3 female Mollies /1 male molly

3 female platties/1 male platty.

Not sure if my ratio is wrong or if I need to do something more to chance allow breeding?

With live bearers, 1 male to at the very very least 2 females, while more is better. The male will constantly try to mate with any female of its species, the more females you have, the more peace they get. But its generally always going to be kind of stressfull for males and females. Keeping only one male of each species was a good plan, but they are still likely to be territorial with other species.

    Add Many hiding places!

That's fine. You will get plenty of baby fish. The adults will eat a lot of them but you could end up with an overcrowded tank in a short time!

I know at least for guppies that you need only 1 male to 3-4 females. A guppy will bother the female until it kills her if a one on one ratio. Mollies and Platies are calmer fish, so 1 male to 2-3 females are fine and you will get babies from them as well. But FYI be sure to allow plenty of hiding places because in all 3 of these species, the adults will eat the fry.
