How much you wat to bet that Trump decares a national emergency to get wall money before state of union?

    I'd win that bet. He won't do it. It's more likely that Donald Jr. and Jared will be indicted before the State of the Union.

    The reason he won't do that is two-fold.

    Firstly, the government shutdown would end, thus robbing him of his much needed self-created distraction, from his and his administrations very real criminal legal problems, which have arisen from the Mueller inquiry.

    Secondly, it'd be challenged and shot down in the courts and he wouldn't get a penny for his wall that way.

    I don't take sucker bets.

    Remember "Escape From New York"? The president declared a state of emergency, then used his emergency powers to declare himself dictator for life.

    We both know Trump can't resist that chance.

    He’s scared of doing so it would have a lot of unforeseen consequences it may even be blocked by the court
