Along the lines of the 2nd answer get a refurbished HP computer and throw a 1050 low profile card in it as this is the best small form factor card you can get Then just gget a 19 inch no it or for 99.00 and you're all set

Jerry, we need to talk. It's time for you to get a job. I don't care if it's at Walmart or Taco Bell, you NEED TO STOP LIVING ON MY COUCH. You're 32 years old and you're still a virgin! You asked me to give you $40 last year so you could buy me a birthday gift! You throw your food all over my house and give my poodle, Belincisa bananas when I specifically asked you not to! You know she gets constipated from them! You also bring over that boy Jimbo over. I don't think he's a good influence on you. He plays violent video games and smokes weed. You shouldn't even be friends with a 12 year old boy! Go get a job and get out of my house because it smells like weed from Jimbo and I can still hear you when you look at nude pictures of Mariah Carey! I already wrote a job application for you for Jimbo's weed insurance. Thank you and get off my couch.

A monitor costs around $100. Then look for a used PC on ebay with an Intel 4th gen i7 or later with a nVIDIA 900 GTX or 1000 GTX series video card. Some of these models even though they are years old have absolutely no issue playing AAA games.

Unless you or a Trustworthy Friend can build with used parts or find a a used Gaming PC that's a good deal, you'd have to keep saving money. Building with used parts can be tricky if you don't know what the value of the used parts is, and you would have to know when you're dealing with a scam or a rip-off artist. There are plenty of people who built a PC in 2013 who think it's worth 90% of what they paid for the parts.

It costs about $500-600 to build a tower that's decent at Gaming. Then you'd have to find a keyboard, mouse, headset/speakers and monitor which would cost an additional $120-200.

Keep saving until you've got closer to $1000. A decent gaming computer would be in the 7-800 dollar range, and a monitor that's good for gaming would be closer to $200 or more.

its not going to be playing more than maybe simple 2d games.

$500 for JUST the computer is considered budget entry level

monitors normally cost $100 at the minimum. double the budget then you can get one easy
