Atheism is the symptom of a huge ego plus lack of understanding?

Or, is it just that you have not seen any testable, repeatable evidence of their existence?

You think your imaginary friend is real, speaks to you and controls your life.

But atheists have ego?

WRONG! Atheism is not being Brainwashed by religion.

Atheism has lots of causes, but fortunately, it is only a temporary condition. Eventually, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

Most atheists just live their life like everybody else. There are some outspoken atheists who criticize people who have religious beliefs but they are a minority for sure.

It's more a of a product of education , modern sciences, up dated facts and technology. As for the ego part, we're not the ones that think that god made us for some cosmic master plan. We just figured out we can do what we do without some one else pulling the strings. Feel free to be sheep if that's your thing.

No. Buddhism is non-theist and its whole point is the nihilation.

Not really. It's just a lack of belief. Is it POSSIBLE to have a big ego about it, and think it makes you better than everyone else? Well.. yes. It is possible to feel that way about basically anything! But in general, based on my own experience, and the people that I know, in my own life..? I'd say there are WAY more Christians and other religious theists who use THAT as an ego-driven excuse to think they're better than everyone else, who does not share their beliefs.
