Why don't fellow theists stop making baseless claims like that holy books are the words of God and that God is omniscient and so on?
These claims do religion more harm than good. The Bible doesn't make the claim that God is omniscient. That God knows the future. These are claims! Also to say that Holy books are the word of God is an insult directed to God. These books are inspired by the divine, are books about God and by God but they aren't his own words. If God wanted to write something down he'd do it himself not through hundreds of people over a long period of time.

The words that make up the clean and unclean food and hygiene laws found in the Book of Leviticus have been based all this time on the germ theory of disease and the modern human body and other advanced fields of science unknown to mankind at that time. That means these words didn't come out of any human alive on earth at that time because no human possessed the scientific knowledge to speak them. So guess what that means. It means the One who spoke these words to a human named Moses was a non human named the God of Abraham which is Who The Bible, Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls are quoting speaking these words to a human named Moses. So modern science now proves that claiming these words as being the words of God is no longer a baseless claim but a scientific fact. I know all this because I am the one who discovered it.

The FUN part about imagining an OMNISCIENT God, is that a God who Knows ALL Things, knows WHY people do stupid, violent acts, and therefore, understanding the motives, might be more readily able to forgive them.
Also: A God which KNOWS All Things, KNOWS how it feels to have orgasmic sex with partners of any gender, any species, any vegetables soft enough for men to penetrate, or hard enough for women to use on themselves.

The book is full of prophecies, a prophecy is the fortelling of a future event, therefore GOD knows the future. The bible was inspired by GOD.

So it is in GODS words, through translation some words have changed but the overall message is the same. Dont throw the baby out with the bath water just because a few words were changed, you can still find the meaning through research.

Your claim #1: The claim that God is omniscient does religion more harm than good.
Your claim #2: Saying that Holy books are the word of God is an insult directed to God.
Your claim #3: If God wanted to write something down he'd do it himself.
So, accepting your premise that Holy Books are not God's Word, they are therefore meaningless to your defense for your claims. Carry on. We await your well thought out, reasoned, evidence-based support for any of your claims, sir. Or madam. Or non-binary bipedal structure...gotta be PC for the Yahoos.
Update: one of God's attributes would be Infiniteness. That means God is not time-bound, which means the statement "God knows/does not know the future/past, etc, is absolutely meaningless. It's like asking for number of corners on a circle.
Update 2: putting aside my sarcasm, seriously, theists and non-theistic thinkers can, without animosity, talk about what qualities a Supreme Being would have, if He exists. Omniscience, omnipotence, infiniteness, perfection, holiness, etc. And each of those qualities will dictate what we should and should not ascribe to such a Supreme Being. Some common ideas that are easily wiped away by considering his attributes are knowing the future, having human features like eyes or hands, or not having the ability to control something. Or doing anything evil, unjust, or communicating untruths.

Religion does more harm than good too. Why don't you stop making baseless claims too?
You wish others to do that which you will not. Making you a hypocrite by definition.\
Stop claiming there is a god. It is a baseless claim.

So, billions of theists have admitted that the Bible isn't the inspired book of any deity. (You do realize a theist can be any religion, right?)

Because they are idiots...
Why would an INERRANT WORD of ANY GOD need even one word edited?
Yet the BuyBull has been KNOWINGLY edited hundreds of times....
It's just so much goddam nonsense....
Source(s): "If God wanted to write something down he'd do it himself not through hundreds of people over a long period of time." How do you know what any god would want, if such a thing existed? You're just another whacko speaking for a god whose existence you can't even prove.... Part of knowing that gods aren't real is not pretending they are or might be. - Anonymous2 years ago
Where does it say in the Bible that the Bible is inspired by God?
