    C, all of the above.

But. . . what shutdown? The government IS open for business and IS running right now. All of its departments are functioning, and higher-ups in Washington D.C. have said it is actually running much more efficiently. The only employees who have been furloughed are those who are deemed nonessential. Which begs the question: WHY do we have 800,000 nonessential employees. Talk about bloat. There isn't a company on the face of the earth who has nearly a million employees whose jobs are unnecessary to the point that the company runs better without them; i.e., "nonessential." So while "blame" is too strong a word because it connotes wrongdoing, it is Trump who said he would do it and take responsibility for it. Good for him.

As far as Nancy and Chuck? Those two have a duty and responsibility, and swore an oath, to serve the interests of the American people. Not foreign nationals, Americans. They are required by their duty and oath to do what the American people want, not their own agendas.

This isn't about a wall, this is about Trump. A few years back they voted for a border wall, and funded it to the tune of $26 billion. Some questions: 1. Where's the wall? 2. Where's the money? 3. Why do they not want to spend $5 billion saying its too much money when just a few years ago they gave more than five times that? 4. Why would they rather spend $116 billion on illegals rather than $5 billion on a wall? If we reduced that number to just $58 billion, exactly half of what we currently spend, couldn't that $58 billion be reallocated to things like healthcare? Education? Welfare programs? Veterans programs?

And when all those furloughed employees get RIF'd, it will be squarely on Nancy and Chuck. They know about RIF. Maybe they're colluding with Trump to trim the fat out of Washington.

It's Trump. Period. He shutdown the government because he wants a wall. He took full responsibility at one point. It's his fault because he to him this is the only way to get what he wants. I don't think it is a bad decision if he thinks the wall will benefit us in the long-run. However, it's still his fault nonetheless.

I blame those sneaky Mexicans for not paying for the wall when they said they wouldn't.

The shutdown is just one more consequence of the mass psychosis we are currently expected to put up with.
