Why have american politics become so radical lately? It seems everyone is either far left or far right. There are few centrists anymore.?

I would guess that the majority of voters including a disturbingly large percentage of Americans who don’t bother voting are more centre ground.

But, sadly, those people don’t make great news as they’re slightly boring for the media, especially in a 24 hour news cycle and in the age of social media.

It’s the boldest and most radical who get the spotlight I’m afraid

Because that is where the money is.

When you allow rich en to give as much money as they want under the guise of charitable corporations, you tend to fuel extremists.

TDS and the fake news media has lied to people and riled them up so badly that they are literally frothing at the mouth with rage, and believe anyone that disagrees with their opinion is literally a NAZI. They were told Trump was racist and literally Hitler and they bought into it. They were told police are killing black kids in the street for fun and sport and they believed it, they were told man is going to destroy the world with man made global warming and they believed it. The other side are being told socialism is Venezuela and they believed it, told that getting health care would make the country a smoking crater and they believed it, told they're going to take your guns and you'll all die and they believed it. The media is giving extremist garbage to both sides and people on both sides are far too willing to believe it without applying critical thought or fact checking first.

Your president has polarized the nation, America is a joke to the rest of the world.

There is a large group of Americans that used to be referred to as the silent majority, they are still out there. Many of them do not use the social net.

People of a mild manor don't get attention from parties or the media like nutbags do.

It’s the ones that leave the FakeNews on 24/7 while debating in online political forums that get like that

An administration that wants to change our laws our rules. Not going to happen.And there is nothing far left about wanting to do whats right by the people. Education. Health care. Better pay. WTF is so radical about helping the people live a better life? Most people that chant that are radicals themselves looking to create chaos and keep all the money for themselves. Thats what radical is.

It's been on the road since the 1960's. It is a fight for what the nation will look like going forward. And the options are diametrically opposed.
