If there was a way to put $1000 down on whether or not a wall will be built before Trump is done, would you bet? Which side would you take?

You'd run into an issue of semantics . Right now new fencing is being installed along hundreds of miles of the border as per the border patrol's preference .

    Bet a Lib and they'll say " It's not a wall " .

While " shore to shore " sounds like a great idea , it's impractical and unnecessary .

Bet a Lib and they'll say every inch of ground is not covered .

As you can see , betting with Libs is pointless .

Go to a Vegas booking site.

I would bet there are odds out there somewhere to bet on that.

I bet Trump will work diligently to secure the border and part of that effort will be constructing appropriate barriers where they can be beneficial.

It may take all 6 years to complete the job, and it is unlikely it will be 100% successful but the effort will greatly benefit the USA, Mexico, and prove to be economically beneficial also.

Get back to me in 6 years.I can wait for those betting against Trump to pay off.

Anyone who thinks a Wall will be created that extends from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean is an idiot. That is Not what Trump wants. A secure Border requires More Wall and other technologies to back it up.

That's an easy one. Even if Trump received every dime of funding he is asking for, the border wall would not be complete until sometime after 2024, when a hypothetical second term would end.

So I'd bet no wall will be built before Trump is done. It's not even a political question; it's a practical question.

I would take a $1,000,000 on it won't be built.

    1. The Century Freeway in Los Angeles is called the Century Freeway because it took a Century to build

    2. The voters approved a high speed rail between SF & LA in 2008. WOO HOO... it's so exciting the first 15 miles of this is just about to open in the Fresno area.... Way to go!!

    3. There is a dilapidated building in my neighborhood in SoCal that new owners wanted to tear down and rebuild. It's on an 11 acre lot. The project was started in 2008 and construction started in 2018.

Why do these project take so long? Environment impact reports, approval, lawsuits, etc.

A secure border wall would take years to build. If we started building it today it would not be complete for several years. I personally think high voltage electric fences would be a better choice in certain areas.
