Correct. The digit to the right of 1 is less than 5, so you round down; i.e., the 1 stays as it is and every other digit becomes 0.

First put a mark after the ten-thousands place, then look at the following digit:
1|2,697.04

Since that digit is NOT 5 or higher, we can simply replace everything after the bar with zeros. (If it were 5 or higher we would increment the digit to 2 before adding zeros -- e.g. 20,000).
