Car radio problems, help!?
2013 toyota tacoma
Started as crackling static when I would play music, now and then.
Then it became more frequent.
Now it does it even when radio and music is off/muted.
Random times as well.
Super annoying, I can deal with no music but now it does it even with no music.

Check that its plugs in back are tight. Take a look at the speaker terminals in the trunk. That time the trunk was overloaded with laundry or something, it may have pushed against the speaker wires terminal and broke it hanging loose, so that, from time to time, it shorts against the speaker frame.

Check for a bad ground connection to the radio.
