How to get an office job when you can't type?

For the past 10 years I have been killing myself doing manual labor jobs and it is starting to catch up with me. So I want an office job so I won't have to break my back and get weekends off but the problem is I can't type. How can you get an office job when you can't type?

    Learn how to type.

There are other things they can have you do.

If you typed well enough to post this question then you have the typing skills to get a job almost anywhere ...except as a clerk in a legal office.

Get a temp job first so you can decide if you like it...then..eventually the temp agency will send you on a long contract and when that is up the company will probably hire you.

Go to your nearest Community College and take a Keyboarding Class.....then, practice, practice, practice.

Then, go to some temp. agencies - they will put you in a job and after a while - you will have the experience it takes to get a job on your own.

You obviously typed this question, so you must have some typing skills. Many office jobs only require basic data entry on a computer, not typing letters or long documents.

Like any different line of business you want to get into, you learn the skills required to do the job.

    You need skills...

One of the most successful people I know doesn't type and they don't often even write anything. However, they are incredibly well educated, intelligent and trained...lawyers at the top of their game don't need to do too much other than know the law really well.

You can learn to type, but that's just the tip of the iceberg....

Had you gone to college, you might have been able to develop the skills needed to avoid typing...

How are you using a computer if you can't type? Just brush up on it a little.

Learn how to type. Go to night school or just get a book to help you. Practice, practice, practice.
