I do not think there is any connection.

I believe in reincarnation and I am an astrologer, but I have never heard anything like what you are asking about, and I have not heard any of my teachers talk about this kind of thing.

Life is NOT fated.

Even your karmas can be changed by what YOU do today.

So there is no destiny to have an arranged marriage or a love marriage.

But .. we expect that romance of a love marriage to BE the marriage. After 1-3 years, that romance dies out, and then we are at the same place that those who have an arranged marriage are facing ... we find we are married to someone we don't know very well, and whether or not it works out long-term depends on how kind and emotionally mature both parties are.

The reason the divorce rate for love marriages is SO high is that we expect more than a marriage can give. The infatuation phase is incredibly exciting, but it never lasts. And so we can become bitter, resentful, disillusioned . .we may think "Oh, the love has DIED" (when it wasn't love, and love hasn't even started to grow yet) .. and then we leave.

Arranged marriages face problems too . .but at least they don't have the disillusionment because they never had that "romance" to begin with.

The thing is this: no one is perfect. Which means no marriage will be perfect.

Unless we can face and work with OUR emotional responses, we blame our partner and try to make them change. This destroys the marriage, whether it was an arranged marriage or a love marriage.

Only those who have sufficient emotional skills inside are able to learn, after 15-20 years, how to accept their partner flaws and all. And THIS is when the marriage starts to blossom.

But, truthfully, most couples never reach that stage .. they either break up, or fight forever, or become cold and distant in their marriage.

And the love that prompts us to accept our partner . that is not the romance. Romance is a selfish feeling .. love is an action and it is not about how happy WE are.

That is why only people who ARE already happy can marry and end up having a happy marriage. Marriage never makes us any happier than we were beforehand.

I believe in the after life, but I don't really think it works the way you're putting it. Events like arranged/love marriage are circumstances and dependent on people's free will. Why would it have to be necessarily a "karma" matter?

There is no evidence of any mammals having multiple lives (closest you can get is some jellyfish that seem to reverse age...), so this question cannot be answered.
