my laptop had for about 4 years went into a frenzy screen display flickering fast seems sideways as well stable at moment graphics card ?

most likely the internal display connector got loose or the display is going bad.
if it was a graphics card issue, you would more often see artifacts, a straight up black screen, or random shut downs.
flickering is usually caused by a display issue.
you could test this by loading a remote desktop program onto the laptop, such as Teamviewer or enabling Windows Remote Desktop.
Then remote into the laptop, and run a gaming benchmark such as Unigine Heaven. Then, compare the score you got to one you can find online. If they're similar, the GPU is working. Then leave the test running without using the benchmark overnight. If the PC doesn't shut down, the GPU is most likely working properly.
