What is the difference between dermatomycoses & dermatophytosis?

Aren't they both skin disease due to fungi?

    yes. In practice, one Mycoses, is on the skin, and the other is in the skin causing an infection. Not just fungi, also yeasts and dermatophytes....and think, in the dark damp places of your body, yeasts can mutate to pathogenic fungi. Wash with Nizoral shampoo.

    dermatomycoses are any fungal infections of the skin; dermatophytes are a particular group of fungal organisms involving the skin, hair, or nails and which cause the majority of common fungal skin infections (like ringworm, athlete's foot, etc) .
