Joe Biden in 2020?

Joe Biden ran for President twice before, I believe in 1976, and again in 2008. Both times, he did not get past The Iowa Caucuses, dropping out before New Hampshire. Why would anyone think he has chance in 2020?

Update:

I stand corrected. His first run was in 1988, not 1976. In those day, he was too far left. Now many see him as too moderate.

Update 2:

Elwood Blues; In 2008, polling said Hillary would beat Trump. Ooops!

Update 3:

My question is exactly what I asked. In fact, my thought in this question is: Would this be a waste of time for Biden to run again? I am not a Joe Biden fan, but will admit he is probably the best hope for a "National Candidate" The Democrat Party has in 2020.

He has experience, especially in foreign affairs, and that makes him a candidate worth considering. But, like you said, he does not have a great track record in his previous runs for the office. Joe has some issues with his age and being so long in Washington, plus he is very white. He also has some perceptions about being a little creepy around women and young kids. And lastly, just recently some big potential money backers said that they would not go out and try to help raise money for his campaign. They do not have confidence that it would be money well spent since they have some doubts that he would win the nomination. If you put that all together, I doubt that Creepy Joe is even going to run at all.

Is your question should the Democrats nominate Joe Biden for President in 2020?

    Perhaps

However, to win the Presidency Democrats need to focus on

1 Assuring we keep the Economy Strong (As Obama started and Trump improved on).

2 Unifying the Country (As Obama talked about September 7, 2018 and Trump copied in his State of the Union Address)

If we Democrats can do that we can win with virtually any candidate

My vote would (at the moment) be for Amy Klobusher as she has a plan for a "Medicare Buy In" for healthcare, which is very sensible, and builds on the fantastic changes to Medicare in Title III of the highly misunderstood law that was passed under President Obama.. .

For anyone who would be ignorant enough to say Obama never rebuilt the Economy, the Unemployment rate was 9 percent and getting much worse when Obama took office, and went down to 4.9 percent by 2016. Obama understood how to work with Congress and what was needed in the US, as the fact that he signed ARRA proves.

Creepy Uncle Joe is still preferable to more liberals than Ursula and/or Bozo.

Fox News just started yesterday with reports on Biden and a woman to he kissed awkwardly. Thiswhat a VERY tame beginning to a very very long story. Biden is not going to be able to stay in the race.

Possibly. The polling in PA, a key battleground state, says any of the 5 top dems can beat Trump. So yeah, maybe Biden, but he's not unique in his ability to beat Trump.

As other commenters have pointed out, Biden scares Faux News the most; that should be a point in his favor.

The polls indicate that he is the strongest Democratic Party challenger who could defeat Donald Trump.
