Recommend war films?
I just watched Saving Private Ryan for the first time (I have no idea why I had never watched it before) and I feel like I’ll never be able to find a film better than it. So I’m really sad. The best way for me to get over how amazing it was is probably to stick to the same sort of thing for a while. I have always loved war films but just realised I have only seen a few. What ones do you recommend?

You should watch The Longest Day next. It's not as violent but it's about the same thing. Also check out the miniseries Band Of Brothers, it is the true life story of a company of paratroopers. Another good movie is Midway, it's about the naval battle for Midway Island.
