Does asking a question cost yahoo points?

    Yes, asking a question costs 5 points, but if you select a Best Answer (after your question has been posted at least 1 hour) you get 3 of those points back (so it's a net loss of 2 pts per question)

    Yes it does but then when you select a best answer, you will gain points.

    No. The people who answer many questions often don't ask very many. For them, asking a question would be being a good sport.

    Yes it does. Don't expect your tally to be modified immediately though.
