what are the black sleeves on kane's arm (i think it's the survivor series attire that im thinking about)?

i was wondering about what those 2 black sleeves are on kane's arms when he's in his "brothers of destruction" masked form. i know that he had surgery because of damage done to either one or both of his arms, so im just curious. i didnt know if they were compression sleeves or just there for decoration to make kane look more awesome. here's a pic of what im talking about. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/c5/5e/09/c55e098ae333391...
