Has anyone had to get a prednisone injection because of severe seasonal allergies? Were you prescribed 40mg tablets for 10 days as well? Isn’t it dangerous to take prednisone?

It is much more dangerous to risk another anaphylactic reaction. The 10 day short course of corticosteroid is less likely to do damage than if you had to take this medicine long term. Yes, there are side effects that you need to be aware of, but considering the alternative (death), its a small price to pay. Personally, I've had several episodes of anaphylaxis where corticosteroids saved my life, so I am just happy that this medicine exists. If you still have serious doubts about taking it, let your doctor know.
