How do I convince my parents to let me have a motorcycle?

I will be paying for the bike the insurance and good safety equipment.

I don’t want one because it’s “bad ***”. I don’t want to go on the highway with it. I already take my road bike most places on the roads I would be on with the motorcycle. I want one to work on and customize. I genuinely enjoy everything on 2 wheels and I’m not an adrenaline junkie but I snowboard and I enjoy the rush but at the same time in know my limits. I’ve been driving a truck for about a year now. I will be buying one when I turn 18 and insuring it myself either way I would just like to start early.

    Tell them you will get a huge life insurance policy so if anything unfortunate happens, they will have something to smile about.

    Motorcycles are a nightmare for parents. Your best solution is to save your money until you are on your own then you can do what you want without anyone's approval.

    Here are the pros of your kid riding a motorcycle instead of driving a car:

    1) You can't have distracting passengers like you can in a car;

    2) You're less likely to majorly injure/damage someone else if you get in a wreck

    3) It's way cheaper than driving and insuring a car

    Here are the cons of your kid driving a motorcycle:

    1) What would be a minor collision in a car can KILL your kid on a motorcycle.
