Aatheist who made Satan doese Satan exist?

There is this saying that satan's greatest deception is convincing people he does not exist.

Satan is a real person or being.

Jesus called him the Father of all LIES (John 8:44)

Paul called him the "god" of this world (2Cor 4:4)

When God created satan or lucifer as he was known (Isa 14:12-14) God did not create him as liar or a god but as an cherub (angel) but through his free will he chose to rebel against God through his own pride --- and ever since his fall he has been the personification of EVIL.

We know in the future satan will get his just desserts when God destroys him in the lake of fire (Rev 20:10) but in the meantime --- satan can and has caused destruction in his world by entering man's sinful minds and encouraging them to do evil against his fellow man.

Jesus Christ is the only way, truth and life to the Father and everlasting life (John 14:6) Believe in his death, burial and resurrection for your sins (1Cor 15:1-4) and you will be saved and have everlasting life in heaven.

The word of God in co-operation with the Holy Spirit is a christians only defense to fight the attacks of the spiritual darkness headed by satan in this world (Eph 6:12-18)

He is one of your gods not mine.

Atheists don't believe any gods exist - that includes Satan.

In the OT, the only 'satan' mentioned is in the Book of Job. In that story, he is an angel called a satan, a word which meant adversary or questioner. All the other 'bad guys'- the snake in the Garden, Lucifer (nickname for K. Nebuchadnezzar), Ba'al (Babylonian rain god). They are simply the bad guy in that particular story. There is no anti-God. In the story of Job, 'Satan' is doing evil to Job to prove a point, WITH God's permission. That angel doesn't morph into the anti-God Satan character until the NT. And we don't know who wrote what, much less who made up that character.

Satan does not exist.

It seems to me that Satan was invented as a tool for fear tactics. Since we do not know who wrote the bible it is difficult to say who invented Satan. But the character seems to be loosely based on older myths.
