Because I've collected a lot of hard copy(cd's, dvd's) and I still am in 2019.

Yes
Most of the music I listen to is not available on stresming services, and if I buy the CD I own it. I don't have to rely on some server somewhere. I don't just want access to somethin, I want to own the thing

Yeah. I’ve been buying dvds for years. I have about 700 of them and I plan to keep adding to my collection. And I have a couple hundreds cds. I normally just listen to music on my phone though.

Yes. A lot of things that interest me aren't available for streaming. Also, I own the physical media. The rights won't expire and I'll be able to access and play them whenever I want. I also don't have to deal with buffering issues, or network lag.

yeah. but the way i think about them has changed over time. i don't think about them in the same way i think about records or VHS, and by that i mean i don't think of them as content, i don't think about them as the movie or music itself. i think of them as disposable devices for transferring digital files that are large enough for an albums worth of WAV files for a CD or a full movie for a DVD.

Yeah, why not? Not everyone can afford the "new stuff"

Yes only to listen to my favorite artist. Where I live it's hit and miss on internet.
