Has anyone heard of "Old Ironsides Hotel" in Chicago around 1930.?

My great grandfather lived there during the 1930 census and it may have been a homeless shelter but I can't find a record of it.

It may have been more of a rooming house, or what some cities now call an SRO, or what was considered a flophouse, a cheap and possibly disreputable place to stay. Homeless shelters weren't much of a thing back then.

Try googling 'murder city old ironsides hotel'. That will bring you an excerpt from a book about Chicago in the 1920s. Looks like someone who was murdered was said to be staying at the Old Ironsides, though I didn't read alI of what was there. I can't read the page you posted, but does it give a street address? What's there now?
