Doesn't eternal torment make God evil?

Since God's love is said to be great, wouldn't it be logical to assume his have far outweighs his mercy?

Doesn't this eternal damnation, burning forever go directly against the character of God?

Finally, the scripture tells us to interpret scripture by using scripture. Doesn't this more realistically prove annihilationism, since death eternal is interpreted as just that, "dead for all eternity?

Of course eternal torment makes god evil, along with all of the genocide he commits in the Old Testament.

    1) Doesn't eternal torment make God evil?

    Of course not.

Does imprisonment or fines make courts or judges evil?

    2) Since God's love is said to be great, wouldn't it be logical to assume his have far outweighs his mercy?

    No.

Really. No. That is not a logical conclusion from that premise.

    3) Doesn't this eternal damnation, burning forever go directly against the character of God?

    Not according to the Bible.

    4) Finally, the scripture tells us to interpret scripture by using scripture.

Which Scripture "tells" us that? Please be specific.

    5) Doesn't this more realistically prove annihilationism, since death eternal is interpreted as just that, "dead for all eternity?

    Of course not. See: Scripture.

That's why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints doesn't believe in eternal torment.

  • no dear, it means people were foolish to reject Him and face eternal death, dear. The testimonial evidence for God is quite abundant, dear, so there should be no reason for anyone to perish except for foolishness.

    No.

Eternal torment is the purpose of man.

That is the love of God.

That is why Satan rebelled against God.

You understandably misinterpret the meaning as you draw it from the modern bible storybook that is merely a control manual for the masses. As intended.

I think so. In theory of things, I would question the concept of hell.

It's the ego that gives us two possibilities: oblivion or hell. Of course the ego puts it off on God, but God is only in heaven eternally awaiting our return as in the parable of the prodigal son.

Interpret Scripture with prayer and the Holy Spirit, the true Word.....Jesus Christ
